Flyers were delivered to addresses in the area inviting comments about actions to make Fenham safer, cleaner and greener. These comments were used to develop our proposals.

Pre-consultation

Measures will be installed starting Monday 7th March. Not all the measures can be introduced on the same day so it will take a week or two to put everything in place.

Installation of measures

Consultation on the experimental traffic regulation order putting the measures in place opened for 6 months. Residents are invited to record their views on the temporary measures online, over the phone, by email or letter until 11th September 2022.

ETRO consultation

The Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders (ETROs) for the neighbourhood low traffic zone in Fenham expires on 8 September 2023.


ETRO expires

We're trialling some changes that will reduce the amount of traffic cutting through Fenham.
With less traffic cutting through, neighbourhood streets can become safer and more attractive places for the people who live there. These changes would give children more space to play, and encourages more people to walk and cycle on local journeys.

Public consultation on these changes runs from 7 March 2022 to 11 September 2022.
